The Welcoming and Warming Island of Santorini, Greece

I would have loved to have stayed much longer than a few weeks in this idyllic Greek Island called Santorini. The flavours and colours still resound. I could have enjoyed many more simple yet freshly cooked or prepared meals that are some of the healthiest on the planet, and indulged every day in Koulouria [Sesame Bread Rings], Karpouzime Feta [Watermelon & Feta Salad], Spanakopita, Greek Salads, Moussaka, and Kotopoulo Fournou, quenching my thirst with bottles of Ouzo and crisp sparkling White Wine. Alas, I had to leave this behind and yet my photographs will always beckon me to return, to see more of Athens with its magnificent historical pathways, the majestic Acropolis [a photo in the group], and appetising street foods, incredible landmarks and a city over-flowing with harmony, chaos, graffiti, and more.

The brilliance of the island on the Adriatic Coast, and the historical backdrop of this city that hosted the first Olympic Games, with fascinating galleries and great music, outdoor cafes and nightlife, shines for a lifetime.
